Creative Workshops
Terms & Conditions

These Creative Workshops Terms & Conditions apply to Creative Workshop services provided by Norivan Kids Entertainment (“Norivan”) and apply in addition to the Norivan Kids Entertainment General Terms & Conditions.

By confirming a Creative Workshop booking with Norivan, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and accepted these Creative Workshops Terms & Conditions and the Norivan Kids Entertainment General Terms & Conditions.

1. Access, Parking & Setup Area

Access: The Client must provide clear access to the setup area before Norivan’s arrival.

Parking: The Client must provide suitable parking and a clear loading area for the Norivan team. Any parking fees, access fees, loading fees, or venue charges are the responsibility of the Client.

Difficult Access: If the setup requires carrying materials over long distances, stairs, uneven ground, or difficult access points, this must be disclosed before booking.

Setup Area: The Client must provide a safe, clean, dry, and suitable area for the workshop setup.

Furniture: Norivan may provide child-sized tables, chairs, rugs, or setup materials depending on the workshop selected and the agreed package.

Water Access: The Client should provide nearby access to water for hand washing, material care, or cleaning if needed for the selected project.

Power Access: A power outlet is only required if agreed in advance for a specific workshop setup.

Setup Time: Norivan may require access to the venue approximately 1.5 to 2 hours before the workshop start time for preparation and setup.

2. Public Spaces, Permits & Venue Permissions

Public Areas: Norivan does not usually provide workshop setups in public areas, including parks, beaches, plazas, streets, or other open public spaces, due to safety, access, insurance, equipment, materials, cleaning, and local regulation considerations.

Public Space Requests: A permit from the local Ayuntamiento may only authorise the event itself and does not automatically include permission to bring or set up tables, chairs, rugs, tools, craft materials, decorations, storage boxes, workshop equipment, furniture, toys, props, or activity setups in that public space.

Client Responsibility: The Client is responsible for ensuring that any permit, venue permission, public space authorisation, or event approval specifically allows all service elements required for the booking.

Service Requirements: Norivan can only provide the service if the permitted setup matches the requirements of the selected service and can be carried out safely and appropriately.

Liability for Fines: Any fines, penalties, event stoppages, legal consequences, or cancellation caused by missing permits, incomplete permissions, venue restrictions, public space restrictions, or lack of official authorisation are the full responsibility of the Client.

No Refund for Missing Permissions: If authorities or venue management stop the event due to missing permissions, incomplete permissions, restricted setup approval, or missing documentation, no refund will be issued.

3. Shade, Weather & Outdoor Workshops

Mandatory Shade: For outdoor workshops, a fully shaded area is required. This is especially important in Mallorca due to heat, sun exposure, and the nature of art materials.

Heat & Sun Protection: Direct sun may affect children’s comfort, workshop materials, glue, paper, wood, decorations, and the quality of finished projects.

Unsafe or Unsuitable Conditions: Norivan reserves the right to relocate the workshop indoors, pause the activity, or refuse setup if the area is too hot, unsafe, unshaded, windy, wet, dirty, or unsuitable for workshop materials.

Indoor Alternative: In case of rain, strong wind, extreme heat, or unsuitable outdoor conditions, the Client must provide a suitable indoor or covered alternative.

No Suitable Alternative: If no suitable alternative space is available and the workshop cannot safely go ahead, Norivan will discuss possible rescheduling options where possible, subject to availability.

4. Age Suitability & Project Selection

Recommended Age Range: Norivan workshops are generally designed for children aged 4–12, depending on the selected project.

Children Under 4: Children under 4 may require a dedicated parent, nanny, guardian, or responsible adult to support them throughout the workshop.

Toddler Corner: Where suitable, younger children may be offered a Toddler Corner or age-appropriate play area instead of joining the main workshop activity.

Project Suitability: Some projects require more patience, fine motor skills, cutting, assembling, decorating, or multi-step focus. Norivan will recommend projects based on the children’s ages, abilities, and group size.

Client Responsibility: If the Client requests a project that is not suitable for the age or ability of the children, Norivan may suggest an alternative or adapt the activity where possible.

Confirmed Participant Number: Materials are prepared according to the confirmed number of participants. Additional children on the day may not be accommodated if extra materials are not available.

5. Workshop Materials & Artisan Preparation

Prepared Materials: Some workshop projects require materials to be prepared in advance by Norivan.

Artisan Projects: For more detailed projects, such as mini piñatas, wood builds, treasure boxes, letter decorating, or other structured projects, preparation may begin several days before the event.

Material Fees: If a project requires customised, pre-prepared, or handmade materials, these costs may be non-refundable once preparation has started.

Project Changes: Changes to the selected workshop project may not be possible close to the event date if materials have already been purchased, prepared, customised, or assembled.

Creative Variation: Handmade and creative projects may vary slightly in colour, finish, shape, size, or final appearance depending on materials, children’s choices, and age group.

6. Supervision & Child Safety

Role of Norivan Staff: Norivan staff lead and supervise the creative workshop activity. Our role is to guide the project, explain the steps, support the children with the materials, and help keep the workshop flow organised.

Adult Presence: Parents, guardians, or responsible adults must remain present and available throughout the event. Norivan staff supervise the workshop activity, but they are not childcare providers or babysitters.

Young Children: Younger children, children under 4, or children who need one-to-one support must be accompanied by a dedicated adult.

Tools & Materials: Some projects may involve scissors, glue, markers, wooden pieces, strings, small parts, or other craft materials. Children must use tools and materials safely and follow instructions.

Small Parts: Some workshop materials may present a choking hazard if misused. Children who may put materials in their mouth must be closely supervised by a parent, guardian, or responsible adult.

Behaviour: The Client is responsible for ensuring that children and guests behave safely, respect the materials, and do not throw, damage, misuse, or remove workshop equipment.

Right to Pause or Stop: Norivan reserves the right to pause or stop an activity, or exclude a participant from the activity, if behaviour is destructive, unsafe, aggressive, or creates a risk to children, guests, staff, venue property, or equipment.

7. Allergies, Hygiene & Material Safety

Allergies: The Client must inform Norivan at least 7 days before the event of any known allergies, sensitivities, or medical conditions that may be relevant to workshop materials.

Examples of Allergies: This may include allergies or sensitivities to glue, dyes, wood dust, latex, glitter, wool, fabric, fragrances, food-based craft materials, or other materials.

Non-Edible Materials: Workshop materials are for creative use only and must not be eaten, tasted, chewed, or placed in the mouth.

Hygiene & Illness: Children who are unwell, have fever, vomiting, contagious illness, open wounds, or infectious skin conditions should not participate in shared workshop activities.

Allergic Reactions: Norivan is not responsible for allergic reactions, skin sensitivity, irritation, illness transmission, or other reactions unless caused directly by proven negligence by Norivan.

8. Clean Workshop Zone, Venue Care & Tidy-Up

Workshop Zone: Food and drinks are not permitted inside or directly next to the workshop area unless agreed in advance.

Staining Materials: Glue, markers, dyes, glitter, fruit, coloured drinks, sauces, chocolate, ice cream, sticky snacks, or similar items may stain clothing, rugs, furniture, flooring, or venue materials.

Client Responsibility: The Client is responsible for ensuring that guests, children, parents, and venue staff keep food, drinks, and staining items away from the workshop setup.

Clothing: Children may get glue, marker, glitter, or craft materials on their clothing. Norivan is not responsible for marks or stains on clothing or personal belongings.

Venue Protection: The Client must ensure that the selected area is suitable for art and craft activities. Delicate floors, luxury rugs, porous stone, upholstered furniture, or sensitive surfaces should be kept away from the workshop area.

Norivan Tidy-Up: Norivan will tidy and remove workshop-related waste from the immediate workshop area. Cleaning beyond the immediate workshop area remains the responsibility of the Client.

Pre-Existing Damage: Norivan is not responsible for pre-existing damage, stains, marks, or wear to venue floors, furniture, walls, rugs, or surfaces.

9. Damage & Liability

Equipment Damage: The Client is responsible for any damage to Norivan equipment caused by guests, children, adults, venue staff, pets, or third parties during the booking.

Covered Equipment: This includes tables, chairs, rugs, cushions, mats, tools, scissors, craft equipment, workshop materials, decorations, storage boxes, and any other equipment provided by Norivan.

Venue or Property Damage: Norivan is not responsible for damage to furniture, flooring, walls, upholstery, rugs, curtains, clothing, personal belongings, gardens, terraces, pools, or venue property unless caused directly by proven negligence by Norivan.

Norivan Responsibility: Norivan will take reasonable care to lead and supervise a safe, professionally prepared creative workshop activity.

Client Responsibility: Norivan is not liable for injuries, accidents, allergic reactions, property damage, losses, or distress caused by failure to follow safety instructions, lack of adult supervision, unsafe behaviour, misuse of tools or materials, children placing materials or small parts in their mouth, choking incidents caused by misuse or lack of supervision, use of workshop materials outside the instructed activity, unsuitable venue conditions, undisclosed allergies or medical conditions, illness or hygiene issues not caused by Norivan, weather conditions, or actions of the Client, guests, venue staff, pets, or third parties.

Legal Limitation: Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where such exclusion is not permitted by applicable law.
