Terms & Conditions
These Party Decoration & Styling Terms & Conditions apply to party decoration, styling, themed setups, and decorative hire services provided by Norivan Kids Entertainment (“Norivan”) and apply in addition to the Norivan Kids Entertainment General Terms & Conditions.
By confirming a Party Decoration & Styling booking with Norivan, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and accepted these Party Decoration & Styling Terms & Conditions and the Norivan Kids Entertainment General Terms & Conditions.
1. Access, Parking & Setup Area
Access: The Client must provide clear access to the setup area before Norivan’s arrival.
Parking: The Client must provide suitable parking and, where needed, a clear loading area for the Norivan team. Any parking fees, access fees, loading fees, or venue charges are the responsibility of the Client.
Setup Area: The Client must provide a safe, clean, dry, and suitable area for the decoration setup.
Setup Time: Norivan may require access to the venue before the event start time for delivery, styling, installation, and setup. The required setup time depends on the size and complexity of the decoration package.
Difficult Access: If the setup requires carrying decoration items over long distances, stairs, uneven ground, narrow access points, lifts, gravel, sand, or difficult terrain, this must be disclosed before booking.
Timing & Delays: If the team is delayed due to locked gates, unavailable parking, blocked access, venue delays, or an unprepared setup area, Norivan reserves the right to shorten the setup time, simplify the setup, or charge a waiting fee.
Public Spaces: Public space decoration setups are subject to the Norivan Kids Entertainment General Terms & Conditions and must be specifically permitted for all decoration and styling elements required.
2. Design, Theme & Personalised Items
Theme & Style: Decoration is prepared according to the theme, colour palette, style, and package agreed before the event.
Creative Variation: Handmade, balloon, fabric, paper, or styled decoration elements may vary slightly in colour, size, shape, finish, placement, or final appearance depending on material availability, venue conditions, lighting, weather, and setup space.
Material Availability: Certain colours, props, balloons, fabrics, printed items, or decorative materials may depend on supplier availability. Norivan will always do its best to match the agreed style as closely as possible.
Personalised Details: The Client is responsible for checking that all names, ages, dates, spellings, colours, themes, and wording provided to Norivan are correct.
Late Changes: Changes to theme, colours, personalised items, wording, or design details may not be possible once materials have been ordered, printed, prepared, cut, assembled, or customised.
Non-Refundable Materials: Customised, handmade, ordered, printed, or pre-prepared decoration materials may be non-refundable once preparation has started.
3. Venue Surfaces, Fixing & Installation
Venue Permission: The Client is responsible for confirming that the venue allows decorations, balloons, backdrops, signage, stands, props, adhesives, hooks, weights, or other installation methods.
Surface Suitability: Norivan is not responsible if venue walls, ceilings, floors, furniture, fences, glass, stone, plaster, paint, wallpaper, wood, fabric, or other surfaces are unsuitable for decoration installation.
No-Damage Fixing: Norivan will take reasonable care when installing decorations and will use suitable fixing methods where possible.
Venue Restrictions: If the venue does not allow certain fixing methods, or if surfaces are unsuitable, Norivan may need to adapt, simplify, relocate, or refuse part of the decoration setup.
Pre-Existing Damage: Norivan is not responsible for pre-existing marks, stains, cracks, loose paint, weak plaster, unstable walls, furniture damage, or fragile venue surfaces.
4. Outdoor Decoration & Weather
Outdoor Setup: For outdoor decoration, the Client must provide a safe and suitable setup area.
Weather Conditions: Wind, rain, direct sun, heat, humidity, wet ground, or unstable outdoor conditions may affect decoration quality, safety, and durability.
Balloon Decorations: Balloon decorations, where included, may be affected by heat, direct sun, wind, humidity, rain, sharp surfaces, rough handling, grass, stone, or pool areas. Balloons may pop, deflate, oxidise, fade, move, or change appearance during the event.
Shade Recommendation: Shade or a covered area is strongly recommended for balloon decorations, table styling, paper items, fabrics, printed signs, and delicate decorative elements.
Unsafe Conditions: Norivan reserves the right to adapt, relocate, simplify, delay, refuse, or remove part of the decoration setup if weather or venue conditions create a safety risk or may damage the decorations.
5. Hire Items & Guest Responsibility
Hire Items: Props, stands, backdrops, signs, fabrics, styling items, themed items, and decorative pieces remain the property of Norivan unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Guest Responsibility: The Client is responsible for ensuring that children, guests, venue staff, and third parties do not move, climb on, pull, lean on, dismantle, damage, remove, reuse, relocate, or misuse decoration items. Decoration items are not play equipment.
Small Parts & Balloons: Balloons, balloon pieces, ribbons, strings, clips, and small decorative items may present a choking hazard, especially for young children. The Client is responsible for keeping these items away from children who may put them in their mouth.
Safety: Norivan reserves the right to adapt, remove, or stop using any decoration element if it becomes unsafe.
6. Collection, Damage & Liability
Collection: Collection or pack-down time will be agreed before the event.
Hire Item Responsibility: Until collection, the Client is responsible for protecting all Norivan hire items from damage, loss, theft, misuse, weather exposure, or interference by guests, children, venue staff, pets, or third parties. Missing, damaged, stained, broken, or unreturned items may be charged to the Client.
Venue or Property Damage: Norivan is not responsible for damage to walls, ceilings, floors, furniture, paint, plaster, wallpaper, glass, stone, wood, fabrics, curtains, upholstery, gardens, terraces, pools, clothing, personal belongings, or venue property unless caused directly by proven negligence by Norivan.
Norivan Responsibility: Norivan will take reasonable care to provide a professionally prepared and safely installed decoration setup.
Client Responsibility: Norivan is not liable for injuries, accidents, property damage, losses, or distress caused by failure to follow safety instructions, misuse of decorations, moving or altering the setup, climbing on props, unsuitable venue conditions, weather conditions, choking incidents caused by balloons or small parts, venue surface restrictions, or actions of the Client, guests, venue staff, pets, or third parties.
Legal Limitation: Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where such exclusion is not permitted by applicable law.
